Hello dear friend. Thank you for being you, and for taking time to know yourself.
This week, I’m in awe of friends yearning for spaciousness— even more awed by those making it. Here’s why…
Imagine for a moment something you dislike—a discomfort, a disrespect, a disconnect. We’re surrounded by so much ‘dis’ these days. When you find your ‘dis’ of the day, try this: discover what that dislike feels like.
You might notice, just in asking, a shift. A pause. A breath. A moment opens. That’s space. And in space, everything’s possible. It’s the nature of space: everyone fits, everyone is found
That’s space.
With space, everything becomes possible.
That’s the nature of space.
With space, we can unfetter ourselves from the ties that bind— the judgments, the opinions, the longstanding hates. With space, we expand beyond limits. And when it’s appropriate, we contract with intention.
The amazing thing about space? It holds us without complaint. The best part of becoming spacious? Our complaints diminish as we realize all we hold.
Wherever you are now, there’s a you-sized space embracing all you are. Shrink or expand, as you choose. May your choice serve all that you love.
Which means we may want to revisit those limits we accept. Whether they arise from thought or word, experience or someone else’s ideas of us, what spaciousness will nourish the love you carry?
We can withhold our best selves, we can distrust everyone, we can put a basket over our light. Eventually, we’re cramped in a space shaped by our retreat. Let’s step into the light and see what awaits.
Today, try this practice in making space. What might you find? A pause, a breath, an expansion. Then, a spark—something you’ve known but never shared, something you’ve delayed. Why? Waiting for permission? Fearing the response? Unsure of the how?
Perfect. Give space to your doubt and find what’s beyond it: faith, no invitation needed. In that spaciousness, you might even sense a divine welcome. We think we must seek—but maybe we’re meant to make space and be found. And welcomed.
Thank you for being you.
I bow to the nature of space within and to the space without and to that space which is beyond words. To the breath within and the breath without and to those who understand, through pausing, the space below and within ordinary living is in alignment with the great I am.
I'm so grateful for your presence. Thank you for sharing your heart.
