Dear friend, dear reader, thank you for being you. Beautiful, shining you.
It’s time to see how we glimmer.
To me, this is that sheen of sunlight dancing when the breeze tickles the lake. Or, in the body, that same evanescence of the divine flowing through us on every breath.
Glimmer plays in all of us.
The light of the world, the illumination of our hearts: we glimmer together.
We’re meant to welcome this loving touch into our lives. Imagine where you’d be without knowing the stroke of a gentle finger on your cheek. Imagine a world without the sun’s blessing on the water. We find miracles in these moments. Everything softens and our awareness revives to the fact that life is profoundly good.
Not without trials and challenges, full of some rugged terrain, but still, the light finds every life path for part of the day. How perfect. What more could that playful glimmer want from us than our joyful play?
Personally, I’m of whatever ilk/tribe/clan of creatures who practice play as worship. Seek guidance from the tree, transport the rocks, whisper sweet nothings to flowers, and serenade the stars. Feel how we fly in the wind. Imagine the first fire in every flame.
It’s a free-form tribe. No name. No password. You belong anytime you’re ready. Your readiness is a choice.
This week, I’d like to promote your readiness with an invitation.
On Friday, May 2, please join me online for the first of three evening yoga nidra classes focusing on the ways we nourish ourselves.
Yoga Nidra for Thoughtful Eating will offer a quiet sanctuary for you at the end of the week. Through quiet, restful contemplation, you’ll discover what your beautiful body, mind, and heart is craving to nourish its will to play. We’re all meant to enjoy this life; we don’t always fuel ourselves to love the games. Come along and explore how we consume food, thoughts, energy, and change. An offering of $100 is encouraged for all three, or $35 for each.
Please note! This is sleepytime yoga! You’ll want a blanket and a pillow in a quiet space. Dress warmly and comfortably. If you aren’t sure how yoga nidra goes, please have a listen here. It’s slow, meandering, and all you do is rest. Sign me up!
No strain, lots of play, all rest. The Yoga Nidra for Thoughtful Eating series is offered on three Friday evenings, May 2, 16, and 30, 6:00–7:30 p.m. PDT.
Register and come for one session or all—peaceful nourishment awaits.
